Lately, I have noticed there was a major hype around The Ordinary, an affordable skincare brand that allegedly has great ingredients. I ordered a few face and hair care items as well as a foundation to see if these products truly live up to the hype. After using them for a full two months, I share the holy grails from this line as well as some products that just didn’t meet the same expectation.

This is probably the product you’ve seen everyone on social media using. It is the red face mask that you leave on your face and then wash off. This is one of the most effective exfoliants I have ever used. After applying it, I noticed my skin felt really soft, and the overall appearance greatly improved. My skin now has a healthier glow to it, and a lot of my hyperpigmentation from acne scars has faded away. I now have a smooth and even complexion.

Hyaluronic Acid is great to add to anyone’s skincare routine. It’s a great product to help add a little more moisture to your skin. This product added such a nice, healthy glow. It also enhanced my makeup, since I had a supple, hydrated base underneath my foundation.

Coverage Foundation

This foundation applied beautifully. It has a full coverage that is somehow still so glowy and skin like. Unfortunately, I couldn’t tell how this foundation performed, since there is an atrocious shade range. With only 21 shades, I couldn’t find the right undertone for me. With that being said, if this foundation has a shade for you, I’m sure it can easily become your go to.

This product has helped my hair so much. I have a very dry scalp, and I have tried almost everything to try to get soothe it again. This product is perfect to mix in with my other hair oils right after I shower. It has helped hydrate and calm my scalp. This product can also be added to the skin to help add a touch of radiance to your complexion.

Multi-Peptide Serum for Hair Density

This is by far my favorite product that I have tried from The Ordinary. It claims to help your hair look thicker, denser, fuller, and healthier. I am all for having big, voluminous hair, so I thought I would give this product a shot. I just wanted my hair to look shinier and healthier. It also claims to help with a dry, flaky scalp – something that was a concern of mine.

Due to the pattern your hair grows in, hair products usually take a few months to start showing results. To my surprise, within a few days I noticed my scalp feeling healthier, more hydrated, and appearing healthier overall. I was very satisfied. A month or two later, I also noticed my hair began appearing a lot thicker and denser. This is perfect for anyone who is dealing with dull, flat hair that just needs that extra kick to get it looking perfect.

The Ordinary was one of the best brands I could have invested in. They have so many affordable products that are perfect sidekicks to your existing skin or hair care routine. I saw the benefit of products I didn’t even know I needed, such as the Multi-Peptide Serum and the Hyaluronic Acid. With the help of The Ordinary, I have smooth, hydrated skin and hair that will help me look and feel my best for years to come.
