Red Lipstick
Best Red Lipstick for Fair Skin
Some people with fair skin might think that they cannot pull off a red lip. We’re here to tell you this is not the case. If you’re someone with lighter skin, you should opt for berry reds or any cool-toned red lip. These shades will pop against your light skin and give you a vibrant glow. As for finishes, cream, liquid gloss, or matte shade will do!

Best Red Lipstick for Medium Skin
Medium skin works well with a large range of colors and finishes. For medium skin tones, we generally recommend very bright vibrant reds (either cool or warm-toned). So try a fiery red or terra cotta, or if you’re feeling playful, you could even opt for a fuchsia! While it may not be a true red, fuchsia is a color that not many can pull off. So if you have it, flaunt it, right?

We have found that any of these do a fine job complimenting deeper tones and giving your skin that perfect glow.

Glossy Lips
Now, if red lipstick is too bold for you, then that’s fine Perhaps a different trend like glossy lips could be something more up your alley. Okay, okay. Before you click the “X” at the top right corner, hear me out. We understand entirely that glossy lips are not for everyone either, but the gloss has made a fierce comeback. And we’re not mad about it.
There is something so gorgeous about a glossy, glass-like lip. And for 2023, the more gloss, the better. Don’t hesitate to pile it on, no matter where you land on the lip chart.
It’s great to also take note that if your lip shape is more thin or wide, and you want more volume in the center, then there are many great lip plumpers out there that will help to plump your lips, without any injections. This lip plumper called Lip Injection by Too Faced, is super effective and understandably a best seller. It does make your lips tingle and sting a little, so keep that in mind. However, the results are so worth it! If you don’t want to feel any sensations, even a regular lip gloss can still give your lips more of a fuller look, which is why we love lip glosses so much.

Are you looking for something a little subtler? We got you, girl. Try angelic lips. What on earth is this? Well, they’re anything but earthly. This heavenly look gives you full yet coquettish lips that are simply stunning. How do you do it? You will want to start with a soft pink. (Yup, you can say goodbye to your hot pink). Then, add a highlighter at the cupid’s bow and center of your bottom look. You’re going for something a little shimmery yet highlights your pouty peckers beautifully. Finally, don’t forget the finger trick! We have all gotten lipstick on our teeth at some point. Well, we’re here to tell you there is a great trick to prevent that! Right after applying your lipstick, put your index finger in your mouth, close your lips around it in the shape of an “O”, and then pull your finger out. This is going to remove all the lipstick that had the chance of getting on your teeth. Just remember: if it’s matte lipstick, you may need to act fast!
