  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/8 teaspoon baking soda
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips (or your favorite mix-ins)

Recipe Instructions: Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Stir in the vanilla extract. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips. Roll the dough into a single large cookie or divide it into two smaller cookies. Place the cookie(s) on the prepared baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the center is set. Remove from the oven and let the cookie(s) cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
