Are the winter months making your scalp dry? Are you overdue for a hair appointment? Girl, we feel you. Over the years, we’ve learned how to keep our hair luscious and healthy while not breaking the bank at the salon every week. Here are our team’s personal favorite tips and tricks to help you say goodbye to damaged hair!

Best Hair Care Products

Wet Brush

One of the tools that prevents hair breakage is the Wet Brush. This brush helps detangle knots with minimal damage, so you won’t find yourself tugging at your ends, which can constantly cause pain. Our long-haired girls out there probably feel us on this one. Use this brush after you get out of the shower and before you blow-dry your hair. Since using the Wet Brush, we’ve noticed our hair always feels soft with a lot fewer split ends. Best of all, this product is perfect for any hair type.

Leave-in Conditioner

Moroccanoil

Moroccanoil is definitely a well-respected brand, so it comes as no surprise that their fairly recently launched All in One Leave-In Conditioner is a fantastic product. Whether we’re talking about hydrating, detangling, or simply nourishing damaged hair, few conditioners do so many things so well.

Coconut Oil

The night before or a few hours before you shower and wash your hair, lather up some coconut oil. Massage it in your roots all the way to the ends and let it sit for maximum results. Coconut oil is a great way to lock moisture if you have dry hair. It is no doubt one of the best hair care essentials out there!

Castor Oil

If you’re looking for a great growth mask, lather castor oil in your hair the night before or hours before your next hair wash. However, if you aren’t a fan of masks, you can always add a couple drops into your shampoo and massage into your scalp. Don’t be alarmed if you get oily hair the first time you do; it takes some getting used to. From our own experience, your hair should definitely grow a few inches.

Gisou

Oh, the lovely Gisou. We love this company so much, as it does wonders for our hair. You can find it at any Sephora location. This natural hair oil, which contains honey that locks in your hair’s moisture, has to be one of the best hair care products out there. This product has multiple uses, including treatment, masking, pre-styling, and even a finished look. One of our favorites is post-blow drying hair, as it gives off a very fresh, shiny glow.

Collagen

Collagen is the perfect remedy if you want healthy hair, which makes it a must-have product. It helps with many things, including skin health, gut health, joint health, etc. Collagen powder is also the perfect boost to add into a smoothie or your water because it has no taste. It has the ability to make your hair strong and healthy no matter how much bleach may be put into the question. Another plus is that it also promotes hair growth.

Color Treated Shampoo and Conditioner

We absolutely adore the L’Oreal Paris Shampoo Conditioner Combo. It is perfect for color-treated hair, making it not turn that yellow nobody wants in their hair (you know what we’re talking about). There are multiple kinds of this shampoo and conditioner that do different things, from moisturizing to anti-frizzing. This is just one of our personal favorites of shampoos and conditioners, but there are actually so many good hair products available to help retain your hair color.

Miss Jessie’s

Miss Jessie’s Pillow Soft Curls is perfect for our curly haired girls out there. For those days we want to embrace our curly locks, this is one of our go to products. The name suits the product very well, since the curls you get are in fact pillow soft curls. It doesn’t leave a crunchy look or feel like some other products do, but it does leave those perfectly bouncy curls!
