Notas
Choose the Right Potatoes – Russet potatoes work best for this recipe as they crisp up well and hold toppings better.
Slice Evenly for Consistent Cooking – Cut potato slices about ¼-inch thick to ensure even baking. Too thin may cause burning, while too thick can make them soft.
For Extra Crispy Potatoes – Soak the sliced potatoes in cold water for 30 minutes, then pat them dry before seasoning and baking. This removes excess starch and helps with crispiness.
Flip Halfway Through Baking – This ensures both sides of the potato slices get golden brown and crispy.
Cheese Options – While cheddar and mozzarella provide great flavor, you can use pepper jack, gouda, or Irish cheddar for a different taste.
Adding Guinness Beer Cheese Sauce – A drizzle of Guinness cheese sauce adds a rich, pub-style flavor.
Toppings Can Be Customized – Add ingredients like chopped corned beef, caramelized onions, pickled jalapeños, or avocado for more variety.
Serving Tip – These nachos are best enjoyed immediately while the cheese is still melted and gooey!
Storage & Reheating – Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days. Reheat in the oven at 375°F (190°C) for 5-7 minutes to maintain crispiness.
