It’s spring, ladies, and gentlemen! With March already more than halfway over, the season is in full swing! As we go into the season, it’s time to switch out the warm and cozy for the cool and airy both in your wardrobe and home spring decor.

But if you’re anything like us, sometimes it can be difficult to decide on a style or aesthetic for your decor. Well, that’s where we come in! We have compiled a list of the hottest new decor trends for you to try out this season! Today we are sharing our favorite spring decorating tips and tricks to make your spring decorating process as easy as possible.

Plants

Some fresh blooming flowers or a happily growing plant definitely give the start to this season! Whether it’s flowers, a succulent, or a hanging plant, nothing brightens up the room and makes your space feel fresher quite like plants! You can use plants as a pop of color or even as a green accent to plain walls. Not only do they smell good and look cute, but having live plants in your space is one of the hottest home decor trends!

Change Up Your Candle Scents

One of the best ways to get your home ready for a new season is to make sure the atmosphere matches the season. And what better way to make your home atmosphere match your spring home decor than with spring scents? As we move away from winter and leave the cinnamon and apple scents behind, this is how you can introduce something more floral, fresh, or even aquatic. Perfect for spring living or bedroom room decor!

Accent Wall

This trend may take a little more time or money to implement, but the effect it will have on your space will 100% be worth it. Accent walls have been everywhere recently. From dark green and navy blue to even black, people have been using these dark accent walls to liven up their space and make things like photos, plants, and other decor pieces pop. Take it one step further by installing wooden planks painted the same color. This will add some depth and give your space a look all of its own!

Green

The winter months are all about the deep jewel tones, but as we get into spring, it’s all about the vibrant colors. You can get your home ready for the new season by implementing some brighter or lighter colors into your spring decor with the spring color palette. Switch out your dark-colored throw pillows for some lighter ones, add some additional lighting fixtures to really lighten up the space, and switch out any dark thick comforters/bedspreads for cooler and lighter-colored ones.

Even just these little changes can really make a big difference and really help liven up your space! For this, we absolutely recommend looking into the spring color palette to really liven up your home for the new season!

Okay, hear us out. Green has been everywhere recently. From people painting their kitchen green to getting green furniture, this trend has taken TikTok and Instagram by storm, and we are here for it! The great thing about this trend is it can be as easy as you’d like it to be! Add in some green pillows and take it a step further by adding in some green furniture. Or take it to a whole new level by adding in a green accent wall or (if you want to follow the TikTok trend) painting your kitchen cabinets!

Photo Rails

This trend is perfect for anyone who is trying to add a little bit of life to their room. They have been increasingly popular in spring decorations lately, and we think their popularity will only keep growing this season. The basic premise is a floating shelf or rail covered in different-sized framed photos or posters. The best thing about this trend is how customizable it is! You can have the photos, poster, or painting act as an accent; or opt for an accent color in the frame! You also get to play with frame sizes, which can make the look even more unique to your space.

Switch Out Framed Photos

This is something we have been doing for years, and we love it. Every season we’ll switch out which photos are displayed on walls and in frames around the house depending on which season they were taken in. For example, photos of our families at Christmas go up in the winter, while photos of the Fourth of July go up in the summer, etc. This is the perfect way to make sure that the photos you are displaying are cohesive and match the atmosphere. Even better, it’s the perfect way to subtly tie everything together.

Boho Chic

Boho chic and art deco home decor styles have been growing insanely popular recently. And while Art Deco is definitely something to be loved, we think nothing fits the spring aesthetic more than a boho chic bedroom or living room. The basic boho chic goes perfectly with plain white walls, lots of plants or flowers, wooden or wicker furniture, lots of throw pillows, and accents of green and orange. Once you see it, you will fall in love (we know we did)! Restyling your space to be more boho chic is the perfect way to change up your space for the new season!

What is considered spring decor?

You don’t have to necessarily use plants only! You can try adding a throw pillow that has a flowery print, floral prints, or any flower-patterned accessory you like!

When should you decorate for spring?

Starting in March you are able to get your spring decorations going!

What are spring colors for decorating?

Nature-inspired hues combined with soft pastels will be your go-to for furniture and decor in the spring.
